LOL...thanks for sharing. My first kiss lasted for hours on end. It was great at the time and yes, he did like me, and no we didn't last very long as a dynamic of the fact that we were not adults, lived on opposite sides of town, and couldn't see eachother whenever we wanted to. We mutually decided that it was best to call it quits, blame our ages on the whole disaster, and see if we wanted to try a relationship again when we were old enough and rich enough to drive. Needless to say...we never got back together. lol

I CONSTANTLY talk to my kids about the realities of emotions, attraction, and sex. They feel comfortable telling me when they think they're ready to try something and I gently coax them out of it by reminding them that delayed doesn't mean denied and not yet doesn't mean no. Usually after they bypass the standard age at which "other kids are doing it", they realize they didn't need to do it in the first place and are on to the next "big" thing.

Dude I'm so scared for you.

And DQ, if you're reading this, don't forget about how much you like sleeping. And that babies cry and keep you up all night. And that good looking skater boys who smile shyly and flip their hair casually back into place can lead to babies.

The end.

Oh, and 'cause I'm not her mom and have always been hopeless with boys, I'll say it -- way to go, DQ!

My reaction to my own first 'real' kiss was much the same as yours. Surprising and much slimier than I had anticipated. Ah, romance.
